New News!!!

Well we have made it through the first month of the outdoor season.... it hasn't been the best month with the weather but what can you do... it is spring time in Alberta after all!!!
On the topic of weather... we have had 3 rain out days so far and those won't be the last. For those of you who don't know how rain outs work here it is.... The phone is always set on race day morning to accept registrations. The phone usually will not be changed (if needed) until 5 - 5:30ish when someone is able to get to the track to check the conditions. If the track is still in good condition and there is a possibility of racing by 7 then we will keep registration open and keep everything on track. We have until 7pm to cancel racing on any given night. We will always try to hold out on cancelling racing if there is even the slightest possibility of getting on the track. If you are ever questioning the weather, just keep checking the phone as the message is changed as soon as a call is made on track conditions. Do not rely on facebook as an update as there is no internet at the track and it is a pain for the track operator to update from the phone.

CONGRATS!!!!!

Red Deer BMX would like to send out a huge congrats to all of the club riders who have qualified to represent us at the Alberta Summer Games in Lethbridge in July.

Congrats on the following club upgrade:
Shayne Hall- Novice to Intermediate

PROVINCIALS #3 & #4

We are 18 days away from the first outdoor provincial weekend of 2012. Provincials 3 & 4 will be held at the Edmonton BMX track June 23rd and 24th. Go here to find all you need to know about the weekend. Glen usually takes care of the pre registration for us and I'm sure he will start collecting names and money soon. If you are new this year and aren't too sure about provincials, stop someone at the track or chat with the ladies at registration and someone will help you answer all your questions!!!!
Reminder!!!! There is NO training on Provincial weekends, during the summer games or the Nationals weekend.
